Denmark's Gambling Market Grows in June Driven by Betting Surge

(Copenhague).- Denmark's regulated gambling market posted strong year-on-year growth in June 2026, with total gambling spend rising 23.6%. The sharp increase was fueled by the betting segment, while online casino also recorded double-digit growth, according to the latest monthly figures released by the Danish Gambling Authority.
Betting Leads Market Expansion
The Danish gambling market recorded a 23.6% increase in total gambling spend in June 2026 compared with the same month in 2025, reflecting continued growth across most regulated verticals.
Betting delivered the strongest performance, with gambling spend climbing 68.6% year over year, making it the main driver of the market's expansion during the month.
Online Casino Continues Upward Trend
Online casino also maintained positive momentum, posting a 16.0% increase compared with June last year. The results highlight the continued strength of Denmark's digital gambling sector.
Meanwhile, gaming machines recorded a slight decline of 2.0%, while land-based casinos saw a marginal decrease of 0.7% during the reporting period.
Land-Based Bingo Records Modest Growth
Among retail gambling segments, land-based bingo was the only category to register growth, with gambling spend increasing 5.0% year over year.
In addition to market performance, the Authority's monthly report also includes updated figures on the Register of Voluntarily Excluded Players (ROFUS) and the StopSpillet gambling support helpline, providing insight into responsible gambling initiatives alongside industry developments.
