Lithuania's Gambling Market Grows 6% in Q1 2026: Key Insights

(Vilnius).- Lithuania’s gambling market grew 6% in Q1, with lottery turnover up 3.6% and tax revenues rising 17% to €24.6 million, according to data from the Gambling Supervisory Authority (LPT).
Lithuania’s gambling market grew by 6% in the first quarter of this year compared to the same period last year. Lottery ticket turnover rose by 3.6% during the same period. Meanwhile, gambling and lottery taxes collected for the state budget reached €24.6 million — 17% more than a year ago.
Lithuania’s Gambling Market Grows 6% in Q1 2026
According to data from the Gambling Supervisory Authority (LPT), total gambling operators’ revenue in Q1 2026 amounted to €65.7 million — 6% higher than last year. Lottery tickets sold this year totaled €40.9 million (up 3.6%), with €23.9 million paid out in winnings (up 11.2%).
Gambling operators contributed €16.2 million in taxes this year, while lottery organizers paid €8.4 million in gambling and lottery taxes.
As in previous quarters, the same trend continues: remote gambling is expanding, while the physical gambling segment is shrinking.
Remote Gambling Dominates as Physical Segment Declines
Remote gambling revenue in Q1 2026 rose by 13.5% to €50.1 million. Physical gambling, however, fell by 11.9% to €15.6 million. Individual segments shifted differently: for example, remote betting revenue dropped by nearly one-fifth to €8.7 million, while the physical table games segment grew by 6.5% to €3.8 million in total revenue.
Remote gambling accounted for 76% of all gambling revenue this year.
