(Madrid).- Training focused on ESG (Environment, Social and Governance) aspects grew by 33% year-on-year, exceeding the company's annual target.
Zitro has strengthened its commitment to sustainability by surpassing 3,200 hours of environmental, social and governance (ESG) training across its facilities in Spain during 2025. The figure surpasses a 33% increase compared to 2024 and highlights the company's continued focus on responsible business practices, employee well-being and corporate governance.
Training hours per employee exceed annual goal
The average ESG training time per employee increased from 3.12 hours in 2024 to 3.80 hours in 2025, surpassing Zitro's target for the year. The achievement was driven by the collaboration between the company's Sustainability and Learning departments, which developed training programs tailored to the organization's evolving priorities.
ESG program covers three sustainability pillars
Zitro's training strategy is built around the three core components of ESG:
- Environmental: Energy efficiency, waste management, circular economy initiatives and reducing the carbon footprint of daily operations.
- Social: Occupational health and safety, diversity and inclusion, work-life balance, and employee well-being.
- Governance: Business ethics, regulatory compliance, transparency and corporate best practices.
Supporting a responsible business culture
Through these initiatives, Zitro continues to reinforce its long-term commitment to sustainability by equipping employees with the knowledge and skills needed to support responsible business practices while aligning its operations with internationally recognized ESG standards.
