(MGSS) are pleased to announce that Sportradar Integrity Services, a partner of more than 80 sports bodies and governmental and law enforcement agencies worldwide, is the presenting sponsor of the 2019 Symposium on Match Manipulation and Gambling in Sport – the first event of its kind in Canada dedicated to the topic of sports integrity.

Sportradar Announced as Presenting Sponsor for 2019 Symposium on Match Manipulation and Gambling in Sport

Sportradar Integrity Services is the world’s leading supplier of bet monitoring, education, investigation and consultancy services designed to support sports organisations in the fight against betting-related match-fixing and other types of corruption. Andy Cunningham, Director Global Strategy Integrity Services at Sportradar, will be presenting at the symposium, discussing the organisation’s approach to match manipulation detection and prevention, as well as Sportradar’s analysis and research on the sports betting landscape in Canada.

“Sportradar is proud to be the presenting sponsor at this symposium. With over 15 years of experience helping our partners tackle match-fixing and sporting corruption, we are pleased to share our knowledge and expertise to help Canadian sport’s stakeholders understand their betting landscape and integrity risks,” said Cunningham. “Sportradar is committed to continuing to help Canadian sport implement best-in-class policies and programs to mitigate the risks they face and uphold the integrity of their competitions.”

Initial research and analysis conducted by Sportradar indicates that sports betting is available globally for a number of sports and competitions held in Canada, underlining the importance of sports organisations having well-established policies and programs in place to mitigate the risk and harm that may result from any kind of betting-related corruption, including match manipulation or the exploitation of inside information.

“Together with MGSS, we are very grateful to Sportradar for supporting the symposium,” said Paul Melia, CCES President and CEO. “Their data-driven contribution will ensure we stay grounded as we develop an initial Canadian response to the issue.”

The symposium will feature several speakers and panelists who are world-leading experts from a variety of fields, including law enforcement, sports integrity, government and sport law.

The symposium will take place in Toronto, Ontario, on April 24-25, 2019. Visit the website for more information.
