World Cup 2026: FIFA Appoints Stats Perform as official betting data and streaming rights distributor

FIFA announces that Stats Perform will be the first official global distributor of data and broadcasting rights for betting on the 2026 World Cup.

The exclusive agreement will allow the collection and distribution of official statistics and live broadcasts, only for betting operators with valid licenses, seeking to centralize information and reduce the use of unauthorized sources. In addition, it will be extended to other FIFA competitions, including women's, youth and futsal tournaments.

According to FIFA, this model will strengthen the integrity of its tournaments, ensuring that bookmakers use verified and consistent data, while the revenue generated will go towards the development of football in different regions of the world.

Stats Perform, a leading sports intelligence company, will provide its technological infrastructure to offer advanced statistics, real-time results and low-latency transmissions, which can be integrated directly into digital betting platforms.

Access to this content will be strictly regulated, ensuring that only operators complying with local legislation can use it. FIFA seeks to organize an expanding market and offer official products in digital environments where fans already consume sports on a daily basis.

Romy Gai, FIFA's Chief Business Officer, commented: "We are delighted to partner with Stats Perform, a global leader in sports data. This innovative collaboration will create great opportunities to offer official products for the benefit of football and its fans."

Carl Mergele, CEO of Stats Perform, added: "FIFA competitions represent the pinnacle of the world's most popular sport. Our customers will be delighted that we can add FIFA tournaments to our official Opta and RunningBall betting data portfolio, as well as our innovative AI-enriched Bet LiveStreams service. We share FIFA's vision of helping the magic of football be felt more deeply, by more fans, around the world."
